HARE Forest School Bursary

Since HARE opened in February 2023, we have been committed to helping people experience the wonder of nature, regardless of their financial circumstances. HARE is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company.  Any profits we make will be put back into the business to support local families.

We aim to make our offerings accessible to all.  To do this we have two strategies.  One is to apply for funding to cover some of our ongoing running costs, to enable us to keep costs down for parents.  Another, is a bursary, which will enable us to offer subsidised places to families on low incomes.  To donate to our bursary, please see the donate button below.

How Our Bursary Works

Money donated to our bursary will be used to buy much needed equipment for our sessions and to subsidise places for  families on low incomes.  Each term, we will evaluate how much money we have in the bursary and offer a certain amount of subsidised places for the following term.

When you click on the donate button below it will take you to our shop, where you will be able to make either a one-off donation or set up a monthly payment to subsidise an ongoing place.

You can also donate during Spring/Summer 2024 to our GoFundMe

What will my donation pay for?

£10 per month will cover 25% of a family with one child's monthly Forest School session fees.

£40 per month will cover the full cost of a place for a family with one child for the whole month or 50% for a family with 2 children.

We are really thankful for all your donations, however big or small, they all make a difference to families in the Forest of Dean.

Testimonial

"Hare Forest School in Parkend has been and continues to be an invaluable resource for my three children, with my youngest daughter joining this term. Hare provides not only a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn, grow, and enjoy, but more importantly, a space for friends and socialisation away from parents."
